Parents / Caregivers
Parents and caregivers play an important role in a child or adolescent’s therapeutic journey. Healing and growth extend beyond the therapy room, and young people can benefit greatly when the adults who care for them are supported, understood, empowered, and valued.
Working alongside parents and caregivers is an important part of the therapeutic process. I recognise the unique understanding they have of their child, built through their relationship and experiences together. I provide a space for reflection and exploration, where we can work together to:
- Develop a deeper understanding of their child’s emotional world and needs.
- Explore practical ways to support their child at home.
- Strengthen communication and connection within the family.
Parent Consultations
Regular parent consultations are an important part of my practice. These sessions provide a supportive space to reflect on how things are going, share progress, explore concerns, and consider ways of supporting the therapeutic work beyond the therapy room.
My aim is for parents and caregivers to feel supported, confident, and empowered in nurturing their child’s emotional wellbeing and strengthening connection within their family.
Brighter days can happen.
