Linda Walsh

Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist

Specialising in Play Therapy

I am a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist and work with children and adolescents in the areas of anxiety, self-confidence, bereavement, loss, behavioural difficulties, as well as many other emotional challenges that many young people experience on their journey of life.

Having worked in the health sector for many years, I have extensive experience of supporting both children and adults with an intellectual disability. Since starting my own practice, I now provide individual and group therapy across a wide range of settings including private clients, working closely with parents / caregivers, schools and voluntary groups.

In addition to obtaining a first class honour in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy, with The Children’s Therapy Centre, I hold a diploma in Positive Psychology and a BA in Social Care. I am also a trained befriender with Sands UK and Féileacáin.

I am fully insured, have An Garda Síochána clearance and am an associate member of Irish Association for Play Therapy and Psychotherapy Therapy. My practice is guided by the Code of Ethics of IAPTP to further enhance the positive outcomes of the Therapy.

As a therapist I see first hand the wonderful growth and development that children and adolescents experience through Play Therapy, which benefits not only the individual but also those close to them, whether family, friends or teachers. I am passionate about giving the child/adolescent the safe environment to enable them make sense of their world, and providing them with the skills and tools to grow.
